Success. The king approaches the ancestral temple. It is favorable to see a great person; success; steadfastness is favorable. Using a great sacrificial animal brings good fortune. It is favorable to have somewhere to go.

Gathering is not merely assembling a crowd. The judgment situates collective life around a king, an ancestral temple, qualified leadership, and costly ritual offering. Those details belong to an ancient political and sacrificial order. A modern gathering becomes trustworthy when its purpose, authority, obligations, and costs are visible. Before inviting participation, ask what truly holds the group together and who may be excluded or burdened.

Temple and sacrifice are not decorative metaphors: they locate gathering within the ritual and political world of the received text.

Before expanding a gathering, make its terms visible: who belongs, who decides, what is contributed, and how disagreement or departure will be handled. A gathering without visible structure becomes a crowd; one with visible structure becomes a community. The cost of belonging should be known before anyone is asked to pay it.
