Hexagram 11, Tai (Peace), is one of the most auspicious hexagrams. The lower trigram is Heaven and the upper is Earth — the natural order inverted so their energies mingle and produce harmony. The image is of the ruler who completes the course of heaven and earth, furthering the gifts of nature to aid the people. But peace is a moment, not a permanent state, and the wise person uses it while it lasts.
