Oriens is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require an account, do not serve ads, and do not track you for advertising purposes.
Anonymous analytics and crash reporting are enabled by default to help us understand app reliability and feature usage. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collect pseudonymous app-usage and crash information, including a random app-installation identifier, approximate region, app opens, card and deck interactions, purchase events, feature usage, and crash diagnostics. You can turn collection off anytime in Oriens Settings. Oriens disables IDFA capability, IDFV collection, ad personalization, and advertising tracking. Analytics events never contain reflection text, personal notes, feedback bodies, or email addresses.
When analytics sharing is enabled, Firebase Crashlytics collects crash diagnostics, such as crash traces and basic device/app state needed to diagnose stability issues. Google is required to protect this information in accordance with its published data-processing terms and applicable law.
When you submit feedback through the app, we store your email address, message, app version, locale, and submission time. This information is only used to respond to your feedback and improve support.
All purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not handle or store your payment information.
Your daily card draw, onboarding status, entitlements, preferences, and reflections are stored locally on your device. We do not sync your reflections to any server.
If you choose voice input, iOS may process audio through Apple's speech-recognition service. Oriens requests Speech Recognition and Microphone permission only when you first use the microphone control.
Local data can be removed by deleting the app. Feedback records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain support records. You can request deletion of submitted feedback or withdraw analytics consent using the contact address below or the analytics control in Oriens Settings.
You can use Oriens without creating an account. There is no login, no cloud sync, and no social features.
